Company History
Science Radio Laboratories was founded in 2009 by Marcus Leech. Marcus is a 30-year veteran of the computing, telecom, and networking industries, with a profound passion for the application of computing technologies to scientific projects, most notably in radio astronomy and other radio-related scientific disciplines.
Marcus acts as the principal investigator for the Shirleys Bay Radio Astronomy Consortium , in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Marcus has been building small-scale radio astronomy systems, using leading-edge computing technology, since the mid 1980s, and has design and written software for many different types of radio-astronomy receiver and antenna-pointing systems.
